I crossed that "Rail to Trail" bridge on an organized ride a couple of years ago, and then north on route 9 visiting the three big estates (Roosevelt, Vanderbilt, and Pope). Then back across the Hudson again on a regular traffic bridge bit with a dedicated pedestrian/bike lan, but the pedestrian bridge you mentioned was the better view. And, if I remember correctly, there is a great viewing area in the middle of the river.

I/we ride road bikes in the city and mountain bikes when we are at Lynn's "Country Estate". However, we DO NOT ride mountain bikes in the woods around fall hunting season and carefully in the spring mud season.
Wildlife highlights this year were a black bear that crossed the trail in front of us and a coyote that shadowed Lynn long enough that she began to wonder if she was being considered for lunch. Probably her speed on a red bike seemed like a deer jogging down the trail? (or just plain coincedence).

n In lieu of posting video, I invite you all to observe my skiing first hand in Vermont this season. Protective eyewear and dark lenses advised. Todd, First, LOL at the thought of HH dropping his world famous BANHAMMER on his prize pupil. Maybe you should pour a few liters of beer over him at Hintertux. Or maybe just put it in him so he mellows out. On Facebook, he told someone never to post negative comments until at least 24 hours pass so you can cool down. But, I'd be willing to visit Kmart again and make some turns. Maybe this time, the precipitation would be white and flakey rather than just plain wet. Jim is rumored to be available when the Mya Ski Babe is working weekends. Or you could join us on Gary's international ski weekend which is Superbowl weekend. I did try to log into the PMTS forum, but, it's been so long and my password memory has gone askew.

White and flakey precip sounds mighty find right now. Be sure and bring it with you when you visit Vermont!
