TOO funny Lynn....you remember! Snowatella...indeed was THE dance to perform!
It's interesting, the snow characteristics changed often....It really wasn't the fluffy champagne powder they are known for...there were varying degrees of density.
Some of which were responsible for some rag doll falls I had...eek....lot's of things to learn in THAT stuff for me. Ron skis it very well, very strong and fearless. He gave me some great tips that helped improved skiing those conditions.
I can say after 4 days of that...my legs are in mid winter condition....Awesome way to start the ski season!
Best, G

Hey Todd..it really was...lot's of diversified terrain to play with...lot's of off camber, puffed up, piled up stuff and still I had a few runs where I was able to open the Rev 105's and found more pedal than I had in my mettle!
For sure....great way to start the season..

it was a great few days and of course, the day after Gary left, we got a foot and more of very light blower. Lots of good snow though. Amazing early season conditions. Yep, dense foot plus broken snow is the time to charge brother charge! I really can't say enough about the 105's. Truly a great ski that is so under appreciated. I skied them the day of foot plus and found them to be a blast. Gary has such great balance and body awareness. I learned some great tips from him too. TIP FOR ALL TODAY: Ski dynamically!
