Svend You called it. No Mya's by weeks end. A really bad experience with Precision Ski/Golf in Frisco. The manager, while he was pleasant and apologetic, had never called Head to see what the shipping schedule was.
As I told them, if they had had the curtesy to call and let me know the status, whatever it was, that would have been good customer relations and I would not have felt quite as upset. They showed us the skis, with the bilateral round puckered area on each bottom.
The ones coming are the 2014. I'll cope. Jim thinks they come with the rails. What brought us to the shop was to have rails installed that I had on another pair of skis.
Enjoy lake louise.

Oh man! That bites. I sure hope the performance of the '14 model is good enough to overcome the graphics. If you really want the '13 year, you could sell the '14's as new skis for more than you would pay for a replacement pair on sale at STP. Something to think about...
As for Louise, I skied there Saturday, and at Mt. Norquay yesterday. Early season conditions here -- not much cover as yet, and no fresh snow for a while. Norquay was in decent shape, as it sits in a sheltered valley which catches a lot of snow (very scenic, actually). But at Louise, the upper half (above tree line), back bowls and Larch area were pretty sketchy. So that left only the bottom half of the frontside, where conditions were only so-so. And there was low cloud, so the normally stunning views over the Bow Valley were absent, so could not make up for the limited ski conditions. Kind of disappointing, but that's how it goes - you take what you can get.
No more skiing here for me; back to work today and flying home Wednesday.
Take care, and keep posting about progress with the Mya issue.

Skis are on their way and rails are standard. STP appears out of mya 8's. Though I did have the same idea as you,Svend. Ultimately, not worth the aggravation. Bubbles it is!
