Is this the PMTS anti-anthem? We really need a humor section.

There are about a dozen videos of this guy skiing to his big hit. He's awesome-truly great skier who gets the connection between excellence and fun (playful skiing is great skiing!). I know you're joking, HA-but, Honestly a lot of ski systems (pmts included) could learn something from what's happening in this video.
Hansi was the overall GS world cup winner in 1973 or 74. Won a few other sl and gs races as a member of the Austrian National team. He's legit.
It's the white reverse-camel toe ski pants that make the video.

I'm not sure if I want to know what the lyrics are! Very funny and yes, the guy can ski. Looks "old school" technique, based on straight skis, but he sure looks smooth. And having fun with it all too!

That video had me smiln' ....beautiful scenery....awesome snow....the guy is "ballet" on skis...reminds me of Clendenin.
watching.....he's so fast with his feet...he's using ALL 4 edges of his skis...perfect timing with his pole's.
Always nice to see an outstanding skier no matter what they're singing!
Thanks' HA for posting! G

I thought of Clendenin, too (and Plake). I wish JC would put up some video of his skiing that was more analogous to this video (sans the yodeling).. I've seen brief glimpses of JC in action, but I'd like to see more of his general free skiing. I also wish he had a youtube presence like HH. HH's instructional clips are the best--and I'd love to see what Clendenin could do in a video series. I've always wanted to take one of his camps, and I loved his book and his general philosophy and thoughts about technique and skiing. But I am not sure I'd fit in with the crowd that's in all of his promotional material.

love it. One word comes to mind.... Liberace
OMG, this is great, and he's really not old school, hes using his edges very effectively. Very upright and balanced. Total control of his entire body in conjunction with ski's and pole plants. He's on traditional skis so on the off-piste he has to work the ski harder to get to come up and turn and he's using some fore aft porpoising.

I'm not sure if I want to know what the lyrics are! Lynn I speak German, and there is nothing shocking or x-rated there. Sorry Lynn.... Totally innocent and kinda campy. Twisting on the Piste is the theme. Stuff like: Get with the rhythm on your skis; wish the ski season would last all summer; get off your butt and don't sit in the lodge; snowboarding sucks 'cause there's no rhythm, and you just fall on your bum. Very funny! Good find H-A.

That's great, maybe you can tell us what the bus driver and Didier Cuche are saying in this video:

All of these "method camps" are designed and targeted at that demographic (hey surprise, guess who has the cash to spend) but he's a trip and you would have fun. I skied with him once but drank with him more than than once I have some great pics somewhere.

That's great, maybe you can tell us what the bus driver and Didier Cuche are saying in this video: I keep watching this over and over, it is so funny! At the beginning, the camera guy, who seems to be the Dad of the little tike cruising past, sees Cuche doing the first flip, and being impressed, asks him to do it again. I can't make out all of the driver's words, as it's in Austrian dialect. Much of it is the obvious ranting of an enraged bus driver with a load of people to transport down the mountain in the coming night, and the humble apologies of Cuche. At one point the driver asks: "Tell me, where did you learn to ski?" Cuche: "In Switzerland." Driver: "Yeah, that figures." I guess there is no love lost between Austrians and the Swiss. I wish I could make out the last few seconds of the driver's rant, but he seems to be hurling an insult. If I catch it, I will post back here. For those who aren't familiar with Cuche, apart from winning an awful lot of WC races, he is famous for his ski flip which he did at the finish area after every race. Head Skis did a promo video of Cuche teaching Jon Ollson how to do the famous flip (search for it on You Tube).
