That is funny! The overall theme applies to the ski gear aficionado's who frequent these pages.
Should be a good read when and if Liam and Svend care to comment. I remember Liam highly recommending a bike with a retail of $4k.

Wow! That was so enlightening. And here I thought a Tranny was something only found under the hood of a Mustang. And that carbon is more expensive than crack? Who-da thunk it? Shhhh....don't tell our mayor [Ford]. They say he's been looking for stronger stuff of late.
Hilarious video! Thanks for posting, Lynn.
As an aside, and a nice coincidence, my brother just moved to that very area where the video was made....Vancouver's north shore. He is going to take up mountain biking after about a 15 year absence. I think his 10 year old son had a lot to do with that decision. Cool! It's a mountain biking mecca there, and almost all of Canada's bike makers are located there -- Rocky Mountain, Norco, Brodie, Banshee, Chromag, etc. Quite the scene. They are going to have a blast. And my nephew will learn what a Tranny really is....oh boy!

I should never have watched that video. I am now filled with self-doubt and introspection. Am I a coffee snob? (I own 2 french presses, 6 moka pots, 1 large espresso machine, and 2 burr grinders....Yikes! ) Am I a beer snob? (I love craft beer, esp. IPA) Am I a wheel size snob? (29ers rock!) Curse you, Lynn, for posting that! I may need therapy now. Time to ride my bike. It's cheaper.

I can't imagine how you can even consider riding your bike. It's only a 29er (and not carbon fiber or unobtanium)? Yech.

Yeah, and it cost less than my espresso machine. (...not really...)
What kind of coffee do you drink, Jim? (spoken in a haughty tone, nose slightly tilted upward...)
As for carbon, I have a couple of carbon headset spacers. I can feel better now. Legit. Cred.... Yeah!

Do you have a burr grinder for that Pepsi?

Svend Jim is a real Pepsi connoisseur. He looks for those vintages made with cane sugar instead of high corn syrup fructose. As for coffee; he has only started to drink it since we started living together. Now he is "the coffee maker" with the precise measurements and exact minutes to brew figured out. I tend to wing it . He is the one selecting the coffee of the month(s). And very proud I am. He now makes a damn fine cup of un-home burred coffee. Lynn

Pepsi and connoisseur really don't seem like they should be in the same sentence.
