The Real Skiers web site provides systematic ski reviews for a vast number of skis for the past several years. In the past it was a subscription site ($20 per year) and didn't have advertising. This year Jackson Hogan has assumed editorial responsibility for the web site, and there appears to be a bit of a shift in focus. As of November of 2013, the site is open for all and is well worth a visit to read Jackson's thoughts on technique, on fat skis, and also to check out the reviews and technical descriptions. As an example of the changes, compare a 2011 review with a 2013 review. The older reviews presented the details of the ski characteristics as summarized by their ski testers. The new reviews summarize that tabular format by characterizing the first column as "Power Characteristics" and the second column as "Finesse Characteristics". See the examples below of the 2012 and 2014 reviews for the SkiLogik Ullr's Chariot.
Compare this to the 2014 review of the same ski. Note that I am not saying that either is good or bad, just trying to characterized the different feel for those of us that have used and subscribed to the Realskiers subscription site over the years.

Hi, all. The information in this post is outdated. We invite you to check out the new realskiers.com which offers more than is suggested here, although we have returned to subscription status (we can't afford to run a charity and still provide this level of service and data, alas) Peter Keelty and Jackson Hogen
