Hey gang....good to be back and thinking about...no I mean pinning for the snow season. Been a great summer..seemingly to short of those perfect warm days but leaves are falling, cold weather coming, ski shops open....all GOOD!
This year's 2015 GISO is Feb 1-3rd....We have a group of 15 passionate skiers..loads of fun to be with.
Along with the returning is our resident carving maniac Livingproof aka Mike Dumsha.....NEW....this sites infamous Jim Ratliff will be bringing his wisdom, sense of humor, and tall tales of farm life to this years event. Welcome Jim.! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our talented eagle eye member "catch um if you can" Hellava aka Greg Rhoades...he is the BEST host ever for our outing at Holimont. AND if you want tips...this guy SEES EVERYTHING!
Mike and Jim will be joining me in Rochester to experience the 1200 vertical feet Bristol has to offer as a warm up to Holimont and Holiday Valley.
Great skiing, lots of laughs, with great insight from Greg! AND we have a fantastic Super Bowl Party ta boot!
The invitation is open to all who are members here as well. If interested...shoot me an email.
Best, G

I'm salivating about re-joining with G's International group. I may even get to meet Mr. International himself after 3 years of not connecting with Svend. We were to room together in the past, but, G has the big viking as his roommate this season. Svend, I will bring some Pa. India Pale Ale for you to sample. My roomie this year is Jim Ratlif...two moderators rooming together, go figure. The guys will probably put a sign on our door to "moderate this". Jim and I promise not to spill publicly any moderation events that weekend.
And, yes, the plan is to go to G's just prior to the trip and make some turns at Bristol Mtn. Bristol is a great eastern area, I'm, guessing it is similar to Liam's home of Berkshire East. Lots of good skiing, lots of good skiers to be observed, and, Gary knows everybody.
As always, a highlight is to get to ski with HelluvaSkier, maybe even get a little PMTS advice. In truth, I ski much more like his much better half, Kathleen.
Note to self: When the kids go out after dinner for "few" drinks, stay home...skiing will be much easier the following mornicong.
Bring on the snow-making weather, I need to make turns.

Now if I can just move past intermediate blue groomer skiing the weekend will be a true success.

Now if I can just move past intermediate blue groomer skiing the weekend will be a true success. Greg: How amazing! That is my goal this year as well. Although Gary never used the term "poetry in motion" to describe my skiing. ? He did say something about the flying wedge, but i thought he was talking football.
