A gentle reminder guys, my primary interest is to DEMO the mya 7's. The fact thatt HH bought a pair for himself, made me pause in that desire, as i know I am not able to use skis as he does. Svend, I will look around for a SS to demo. Also, I am not looking to REPLACE any skis; I am looking to keep up with you guys and expand my selection. I would continue to use the Progressors as everyday western skis with the mya 8's on powder days. Any skinnier ski I got would be for eastern every day conditions, ski lessons etc. Gary, to answer your boot question; yes I do feel edge pressure in the appropriate area, the epiphany place! (courtesy of JC) I feel good about my boot set up. The noridica's lean last and shorter cuff have been a vast improvement over my previous set up. Nothing to write about when putting on or taking them off. Thanks to all for your suggestions and comments. A wonderful array of thoughts from an erudite group. L.

Awesome Lynn. Thanks for clarifying. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for good deals on narrow skis -- say <68mm; is that your target? If you are patient and in no hurry, the best deals around here are at the Toronto Ski Show in October. We go every year, and I'd be happy to be your personal ski shopper.

The mya 7 looks like a nice ski. I think you can handle it. 65mm in the 156cm length so it should be quick and fun for hard eastern days.

OK, while it doesn't have to ever be about me, I would like to express my purely selfish dismay at the fact that Lynn is feeling like she needs to "bulk up" in order to more effectively bend a high performance ski. What ever happened to the ”Fischer Babe". Am I being sexist??

Your little "Fischer Babe" is growing up.... Clearly she understands what she is looking for...
Stand back you southern gentleman and let the lady ride!

As HA said in the other thread, skinny skis rule (at certain times). But Lynn was still very glad to have the MYA8's several days on our trip.
