It's that time of year with the hustle and bustle of shopping, buying....all those material things that keep our country strong and our quivers full.
I know this is a hectic time of year where we try to make all happy when realistically, if we get close to 50%....it's VERY good!
For me, I try to smile through the not so fun stuff, the craziness of the season and find that "Zen" spot that refreshes my spirit. It's about appreciation and thankfulness for how good life is...it's that fantastic run in that perfect snow, the friends we are sharing them with, it's about finding that most wonderful inner peace....
and THAT my ski buds....is what I wish for all of you.
Happy Holidays, Cheers, G

Gary and Zen are diametrically opposed! But a very Merry Christmas to all.

I'm not sure about this guy Zen - I don't think she is registered on the forum. Anyway, I echo the sentiments. Merry Christmas to all, and may all of your Christmas's (and ski days) be white.

1. zen : a total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. It also is a state of mind. Zen involves dropping illusion and seeing things without distortion created by your own thoughts. ZEN IS IN THE HOUSE!SO...may you all have a Very Zen full Christmas! OK Ron.....I've only had 3/4 cup of coffee today!

Happy Holidays, Cheers, G Just want to jump into the middle of the little jousting match between the 2 Steamboat December powder monarchs, and, camp onto Gary's original (and well said) thought of finding wonderful inner peace at our Holiday season. It's been a great experience interacting with all who post here, and, I wish all the best for you and your family during the coming year.

no jousting! Just agreeing, ahh, inner peace is the correct word. We may strive for zen but it is a goal that may take many lifetimes to achieve. It is misunderstood. Similar to nirvana and most other religions have something similar although most religions are stuck in the physical realm. Zen is far beyond the physical.

Wishing all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. (With no reports of skis being "painted" yellow or a certain moderator publicly engaging in kinky behavior with foam liners, the season seems to be off to a great start.)

May you all buy mips biking and skiing helmets and never need the technology. May all your acls's stay strong and intact. May no shoulder or tib/fib fractures occur. May your skis last the whole season and no gloves be lost.
Happy holidays to all and a safe new year.
Lynn

Why Lynn-Z-Belle, that is really sweet.
I am reminded that Christmas wasn't always "in fashion", but it's popularity received a tremendous boost in the mid 1800's when Dickens "A Christmas Carol" was published. A Christmas Carol reminds us that Dec. 25th is just another day --it's what you put into it that makes it special.
May Christmas be a wonderfully special day to all.
