I didn't wear the OSBE the second half of the season last year. I ended up with frost bite in my eyebrow area after one cold morning (-15° at base) and skiing rather briskly (another story for a different time and thread). Went back to my gold Head (( )) helmet and Smith fan goggles which protects the frost bite area better. I may need to dig out the OSBE and see how sensitive that area is this winter. It was quite painful, whenever my eyebrows got cold, after the frost bite damage. Oh, the joys of aging.

Meput and Beastie Boy
Please do a write up the camp. I know Geoffda has set the bar absurdly high on that account and that level of detail is not expected, but it would be great to hear your perspectives. My first camp was over 10 years ago and the last about 3 years ago. Hmm, maybe 4 years.
The camps seemed to just get better each year. Of course, what you put into it helps what you take away.
Keep us posted!
Lynn

Keep us posted! Lynn Lynn, ..Lynn, ....Lynn, I know my memory banks, reading comprehension, composition skills, etc. are being affected by age . But not you too . You are way too young . BUT I don't think Beastie Boy is planning to go to the HSS Blue/Dark Blue camp. I could be wrong. I do think smackboy1 is planning to attend the HSS Blue/Dark Blue camp. He did start this thread

I don't have a dictionary with me. Is pre-scenscent a real word, or is that an Android made up word?

Important: pack a pair of shorts and wear them to your indoor alignment and footbed session. They'll need to see your foot, ankle, shin, and knee and perform several measurements on them.

Smackboy1 and Meput,
Have a great time at camp next week. You get bragging rights if you get to keep your ski poles the whole week.
Remember, it's when you feel the worst about your skiing that you're making the most progress.
cheers,
Todd
Tip and tip and tip some more. Then double it!

Tip and tip and tip some more. Then double it! Gear is packed (mostly) and ready to go. I'm stoked. There's a winter storm arriving in NYC tomorrow which might complicate my departure a little; fingers crossed. Todd's advice brought up another tipping question: how much do we tip the PMTS coaches? Anybody have any other social advice i.e. what are Harald and Diana's beverage of choice at the bar? What not to order for lunch at the lodge? What are places to eat around Keystone? Are there ever exceptions to the rule against eating yellow snow or peeing into the wind?
