That was the leather boot era, so different rules applied. But it wasn't so much the footwear as the stockings that set her apart. Now that you are getting picky, that was probably pre ski boots and any heavy leather boot would do since leather straps would have been used as bindings in that era. I also suspect it was the general lack of clothing as she "danced" that really set her apart.

Leather straps ... Well, yes, that too. I wasn't sure if bondage was a fair topic on a skiing forum. Thank you for clarifying the matter. As I said, she had style and was a highly skilled practitioner of her art (no matter what color her boots du jour happened to be.)

Maybe that's why when I was at Blue/Dark blue camp last December, I often felt so awkward as if I was tied up and whipped by the end of the day! Rangers are up 2 - 0, 1st period, game 2. Go Rangers! Trying to get the Lange Girls and Mata Hari out of my mind! But do they live in Todd's dreams? And through this forum do they come back to haunt me? Go Rangers! Help clear my mind! Question: Where is snow when I need it? Answer: A-Basin, weekends through June 22!

Meput,
I hesitate to ask this about the blue/dark-blue camp, but aren't you the fella who was recently posting about anticipating a "father-daughter bonding experience" there this coming season?

meput, Will you be doing a camp this coming season? If you've graduated from the camp thing, maybe you can teach me a few moves this winter. .... Timing works out that Kristin can go to the Blue/Dark blue this year, so it will be a father /daughter trip. .... As you refresh your memory, nothing was mentioned about a "bonding experience". But maybe being all tied up while skiing might help explain how I managed to do my "head" turn. Skiing as if you are all tied up is not fun, so I hope that is not the type of "moves" you are looking to learn. I might be willing to teach you a "head" turn, but not skiing "all tied up".

Todd, On further reflection, I have actually strapped my daughter down. Many, many years ago and far, far away, I used to strap her into a car seat as an infant.

Rangers are up 2 - 0, 1st period, game 2. Go Rangers! Go Rangers! Help clear my mind! Jim, your beloved Rangers could be golfing tomorrow. Down 3-0, it ain't looking good for them. Home ice may help, but it's sure been hard to beat Quick. And the Rangers just look worn out. Not the same team that whupped our Habs a few weeks ago. Hope Lundqvist is on fire tonight. Go Rangers!

Trust me watching LA hurts the brain of this Philly guy. Mike Richards, Jeff Carter and Justin Williams....are from the Flyers and will have 2 Stanley Cups. We, on the other hand, are still stuck the the guy who traded them, Paul Holmgren. Talk about thread drift, A-basin to the Stanley Cup.

The sad thing is that I am not a Rangers fan. Am a Bruins fan through and through. I was not happy when the Canadians took out the Bruins. As a result, I wanted the Canadians gone and cheered for the Rangers. In regards to LA and hockey, just wrong. Don't care that the "Great one" played in LA for a bunch of years. At least the Rangers are an original six.
With a win, the Rangers are still alive. LA will probably take the Cup, but I will still pull against LA.
Go Rangers!
P.S. I know Gretsky did play for the Rangers at the end. Still think Bobby Orr was the best ever. Orr changed the way the pro game is played.
